Amanda Anqueira-González

VP, Spanish Programming

Amanda is a PhD student in the Neurobiology and Behavior Program at Columbia University, where she studies early life neuromodulation alters the development of brain circuits responsible for cognition. Amanda joined CUNO in 2022, when she began volunteering for Saturday Science as an English to Spanish translator. She has been spearheading Spanish outreach events and the integration of the language into CUNO’s other initiatives as vice president of CUNO en Español. Outreach initiatives such as CUNO were critical in Amanda’s path toward becoming a scientist which inspires her to continue creating and sharing opportunities to a wide array of communities.
